American Corner Pokhara Celebrates Earth Day

Earth Day 2009 was celebrated at American Corner Pokhara. Ambassador Powell delivered a speech highlighting Earth Day. The program was chaired by the president of theAmerican Corner Executive Committee. The Ambassador opined that the balance between the increasing number of tourists and natural resources should be maintained. The program enlightened the people about the environment and global warming. She presented the Earth Day Posters to President Dr. Shrestha on this occasion. The Earth Day Posters will be exhibited at the American Corner and the Annapurna Conservation Museum in Pokhara.
