Students Fascinated to Learn about the Opportunities Available to Women in America
By engaging the young students in a lively discussion about American society, culture, and education, the Embassy speaker was able to increase their understanding about the United States and the education system in America.

As part of the Public Affairs Embassy Speaker Program, Eligible Family Member (EFM) Meg Fleming spoke to more than 50 female students of Padma Kanya Campus, the only all girls college in Kathmandu. She spoke about the opportunities for women in the United States, youth leadership, the importance of an advanced education, and an aptitude test that helps students determine what type of job they may prefer based on their personality. After speaking for half an-hour, the EFM answered questions from the students who were enthusiastic to learn more about American society and its cultural values.
