Presentation on Influenza Pandemic Preparedness at Institute of Medicine

U.S. Speaker Daniel C. Rutz, Associate Director of Communications Science, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Atlanta, GA, shared his knowledge with 150 students and faculty members of Institute of Medicine, Maharajgunj Nursing Campus.
The program helped participants to understand how nurses can play an important role in controlling a pandemic and in making sure the public receives accurate and timely information. The speaker also helped clarify for the students and faculty members some misconceptions about the nature of a pandemic and about H1N1 (swine flu).
