Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Robert Blake’s visit to Nepal received extensive media attention. And the political parties in Nepal took note of the suggestions that he made, thanks to the wide coverage of the visit. Public Affairs Kathmandu made arrangements to keep the focus on A/S Blake’s message that the United States wishes to see a peaceful and prosperous Nepal.

On the day of his arrival, Public Affairs Kathmandu issued a statement documenting highlights of A/S Blake's visit.  On June 13, Public Affairs Kathmandu organized a press conference which was attended by all the major media of Nepal and international news agencies reporting from Nepal. It made the front page and prime time news in all media the next day.
