American Corner Bhairahawa Celebrates 4th of July

American Corner Bhairahawa celebrated the 233rd American Independence Day by inviting 80 local dignitaries, journalists, business executives, and students to participate in a program. The guests of honor were the Chief District Officer of Bhairahawa region, Mr. Dhurwaraj Wagle and a Consular Officer of the U.S. Embassy, Konstantin Dubrovsky. The national anthems of Nepal and the United States were played. The Consular Officer talked about the “Declaration of Independence” and the drafting of the American Constitution. Dilip Bhattarai, a founding member of American Corner Bhairahawa, also highlighted the historical events leading to U.S. Independence.
