“Trio Urbano” - Jazzmandu 2009

Trio Urbano (Jamie Baum – flute, Susan Pereira – vocal/percussion, Dario Eskenazi – piano), performed at an event hosted by Chargé d’Affaires Jeffrey Moon at his residence. Co-sponsored by a grant from the Public Affairs Section, the group represented the U.S. at the annual “Jazzmandu Festival” October 8 - 13. Chargé d'Affaires Jeffrey Moon introduced the trio. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the ninety minute performance, which featured classic and contemporary jazz pieces with a Brazilian flair. Trio Urbano was prominently featured in the Jazzmandu Festival with multiple performances at the Gokarna Resort, Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory, Patan Durbar Square, and the Shangri-La Hotel.
