U.S. Mission Closed for Labor Day

The U.S. Mission in Nepal will be closed on Monday, September 1, on the occasion of Labor Day in the United States. The Embassy, USAID, and the Consular and Public Affairs Section comprise the Mission and are located at the Embassy compound in Maharajgunj.
The annual Labor Day national holiday in America pays tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well being of the United States. The holiday marks the special contribution of the American worker. Labor Day speeches by leading union officials, industrialists, educators, clerics and government officials often receive wide coverage in American media.
