U.S. Mission Closed for Christmas

The U.S. Mission to Kathmandu will be closed on December 25 in observance of Christmas Day, a federal holiday in the United States. All executive branch departments and agencies of the U.S. Federal Government will also be closed December 26 per presidential proclamation.
On these days, the Embassy and American Library will be closed to the public and will resume business on Monday, December 29. The Chancery, USAID, and the Consular and Public Affairs Sections are among the components of the Mission that are located at the Embassy compound in Maharajgunj.
