U.S. MISSION CLOSES FOR TIHAR AND U.S. VETERANS DAY

The U.S. Mission to Nepal will be closed on Friday, November 9 on the occasion of Tihar, a national holiday in Nepal, and on November 12 in commemoration of Veterans Day. The Chancery, USAID and the Consular and Public Affairs Sections are among the components of the Mission that are now located at the new Embassy compound in Maharajgunj.

Veterans Day is observed in the United States in honor of veterans of the armed services and in commemoration of the armistice that ended World War I in 1918.
