U.S. Embassy Closed on Veterans Day

November 10, 2005

The U.S. Mission in Nepal, including the Consular Section, USAID, and the American Center, will be closed on Friday, November 11 to celebrate Veterans Day, a U.S. holiday. 

Veterans Day is observed in the United States in honor of veterans of the armed services and in commemoration of the armistice that ended World War I in 1918.  Veterans Day is celebrated every year on November 11.
